About Us

The Survivor Stories DVD Project brings the stories of those that have experienced domestic violence and of the struggle individuals from diverse communities faced in their constant search for support. With empathy, Survivor’s Stories DVD project shares the real life experiences of those individuals and their strength and ability to rebuild their lives.

This project focuses on raising awareness of Domestic Violence experiences from individuals from diverse communities - Black and Minority Ethnic communities Refugee communities and Lesbian,Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Communities. It brings the individual experiences, their journeys, their search for freedom from abuse, and the myriad of systems that at times even prevented them from getting help. A resource and training tool, the Survivor Stories DVD Project gives an opportunity for workers to assess their current practices and best practice tools for development to meet the needs of those at risk.
